Cincinnati Auto Expo Promo!

Dealer-centric Local 12 advertising and promotional campaign will be designed to extend Auto Expo branding and direct consumers to dealerships for test drives

GCADA is partnering with Local 12 to create dealer-centric promotional campaign designed to drive consumers to dealerships for test drives, extend Cincinnati Auto Expo branding, and promote the retail motor vehicle industry March 1-9 while Duke Energy Convention Center renovations proceed.

Local 12 will promote the Cincinnati Auto Expo on its airwaves, local12.com and social media platforms March 1-9. The campaign will include coverage of the latest industry innovations and trends from Consumer Reporter Cassie Arsenault. Stories produced by Local 12 will be posted on local12.com and the station’s social media platforms prior to and during the campaign.

The station home page will transform into a “Ride and Drive” lead-generating engine directing consumers to a cincinnatiautoexpo.com landing page where they will enter a zip code to be directed to register for a test drive with the participating dealerships closest to their homes. Of course, loyal customers will be welcome to test drive vehicles at their favorite dealership.

Dealers also will have the option to complement our fundraising efforts that have supported the Cincinnati Children’s Comprehensive Children’s Injury Center (CCIC) for the past 31 years by making a suggested minimum $25 donation for each test drive conducted from March 1-9. Donations would be additions to funds raised during our REV IT UP VIP Party scheduled for March 19 in the Museum Center at Union Terminal. Details about the party will follow in the coming weeks.

Campaign messaging will be extended through more than 6.8 million 10-second ads appearing on United Dairy Farmers gas-pump screens as well as 30-, 15- and 10-second commercials directing viewers to cincinnatiautoexpo.com. More than 100 teaser promos will precede the campaign Feb. 22 through Feb. 28.

The campaign will additionally feature elements that support our annual Child Passenger Safety Campaign and Cincinnati Children’s Comprehensive Children’s Injury Center. Local 12 will produce and air safety seat public service announcements in addition to providing an opportunity to present our CCIC donation on air.

All advertising is designed to be “co-opable” and a minimal $5,000 investment with Local 12 will be required to participate. The full amount will be applied solely to dealership advertising that can be customized for either streaming / connected television, social, or email marketing and social retargeting campaigns that may be scheduled any month(s) between January and May. Campaigns will be executed by the station’s parent company Sinclair Broadcast Group DRIVE AUTO team and participating dealerships will have a direct Local 12 contact.
