Calling All Craft Beer Fans

For the first time, this year’s Expo will feature our Beer & Wine Garden in the Concourse on 5th. Enjoy a selection of local craft beers from Rhinegeist, Rivertown, Madtree, Blank Slate, and more, along with live entertainment and some delicious food!

The Beer & Wine Garden will be open throughout the Expo. Whether you’re looking to grab a quick drink after work on Thursday, or are spending the day downtown on Saturday, you can sample some of Cincinnati’s best local brews while you check out everything the show has to offer. Live musical entertainment will provided by the Ben Levin Duo, the Sunburners, and John Ford starting Friday night and continuing throughout the weekend.

Some (but not all) of the local favorites you can try out are:

  • PSA – Madtree’s sessionable pale ale with a “variety of citrus, dank, and tropical fruit hop flavors”.
  • Truth – Rhinegeist’s flagship IPA  is brewed “with a nod to the Pacific, hops sizzle with tropical fruit aroma, grapefruit and mango notes and a dry finish.”
  • Lift – A refreshing Kölsch, Madtree’s “crisp refreshing beer with a hint of orange will lift your spirits without lowering your expectations for what a craft beer should be.”
  • Tequiliana – For the cider lovers, Rivertown’s guava apple cider is the perfect sweet, fruity selection!
  • Fork in the Road – Blank Slate’s amber “sits squarely at the fork where darker malts and brighter hops meet.”
  • PSA – Madtree’s sessionable pale ale with a “variety of citrus, dank, and tropical fruit hop flavors”.
  • Out and About – A “crisp, refreshing wheat ale that is just the thing when you are ‘out and about’ on a warm day” from Blank Slate.
  • Roebling – “Crafted to be as timeless and remarkable as the Roebling Bridge,” Rivertown’s Vanilla Espresso Imperial Porter is a bold, flavorful selection perfect for the cold weather.
  • Truth – Rhinegeist’s flagship IPA  is brewed “with a nod to the Pacific, hops sizzle with tropical fruit aroma, grapefruit and mango notes and a dry finish.”
  • Hans – Newly canned from Rhinegeist, “A low strength yet flavorful Vienna-sytle lager with malt flavors of toasted bread.”

If you’re looking to shake up your Friday night happy hour, we’ve created a space with great atmosphere, entertainment, and craft beer selection that will fit bill. You can also meet the Cincinnati Ben-Gals Cheerleaders who will be handing out autographed calendars at their meet and great from 5-8!

While visiting the Concourse on 5th be sure you see our other fun exhibits featuring the Cincinnati Film Commission’s exhibit – with vehicles from your favorite movies that were filmed right here in Cincinnati, as well as an exhibit by students from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning’s Industrial Design Program highlighting the Future of Transportation.  Or have your group pile in the back of the VW Photo Bus and make memories with your own group photo! There is a lot to do in the Concourse on 5th so don’t miss out while visiting the 2017 Cincinnati Auto Expo!
